The Greenline, a 355,000 square foot, Class A office building near Seattle, was built in 1971 and designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. It was the first major application of open-landscape office design in the United States. English Ivy covers each level of its five floors. The award-winning architecture features large rectangular floor plates, 14’ floor-to-floor heights with 10’ ceilings, continuous non-sash window-wall system, and diagonal column placement, all of which was designed to promote natural daylighting and maximize internal visibility. Parking lots are staggered to align with each floor, conveniently allowing employees to park on the same floor as they work.

The Greenline also features a unique heat reclaiming system, capturing outdoor heat and energy reducing energy consumption. Lighting is computer controlled; an additional energy savings effort.
